PAULA JASMINE JAMES
Biography
Independent singer-songwriter Paula Jasmine James blends jazz, blues, pop, and gospel into songs that are both intimate and cinematic. An international nomad now based in Bath, UK, her sound evokes Norah Jones’ sultry intimacy, Gregory Porter’s soulful depth, and hints of Amy Winehouse’s raw edge. She was vocally coached by Anna Serafińska, one of the best Polish jazz singers.
Paula Jasmine James' life-long collaborations include Jan Freicher, a Polish-Swiss composer, and Luis ‘Slice’ Echeverria who is based in Nashville, a city Paula loves to visit for its storytelling spirit. At the piano, Paula crafts melodies that explore human vulnerability, resilience, and the lingering ghosts we carry.
Away from the stage, Paula finds joy in riding horses and walking dogs in the countryside.
